Sukkot Booth

West Grove UMC Annual Fall Harvest Food  Collection At the Sukkot Booth
The word Sukkot is the plural of the Hebrew word sukkah, meaning booth or hut. During this holiday, Jews are instructed to construct a temporary structure in which to eat their meals, entertain guests, relax, and even sleep. The sukkah is intended to reflect God‘s benevolence in providing for all the Jews’ needs in the desert.
As we have done in previous years, our church will collect nonperishable food items and turkey coupons (from local grocery stores) at the Sukkot booth in the lobby beginning Sunday, November 4 through Sunday, November 25.
This year’s Fall Harvest Food Collection will benefit and help replenish the short food supply for our Emergency Food Pantry.
Your donations are essential to serve those in our community. In addition, Thanksgiving Baskets will be given to a few local families in need. Be sure to stop by the booth with your donations.
Thank you for serving God through the faces in our community.
