Children’s Morning Out Program

The CMO program offers classes for children 18 months to 36 months on three days, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Families will have the choice of one, two or three mornings. The class is held from 9:00 am -12:00 pm.

We also have two offerings for the 3 and 4 year old preschool class. We offer a two morning per week option, Monday and Wednesday and a three morning per week program, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All classes run from 9:00 am -12:00 pm.

The CMO is a Christian-based early childhood program. The 18- 36 months class is primarily for children who are just beginning to stretch beyond their families into a social world with other children and nurturing adults. It offers parents the opportunity to have a few hours of free time while knowing their young child is engaged in a variety of enriching learning experiences. The program features creative art activities, story time, free play, music and movement and gross motor activities.

The preschool program for the 3 and 4 year olds is a child-centered early childhood program. The program offers many activities that encourage self-expression, independence and discovery. Preschool skills are woven into the program so that children can develop an understanding of these concepts while engaging in “real life”/authentic experiences.

Children’s Morning Out Program Overview

The Children’s Morning Out program at West Grove United Methodist Church is a Christian-based early childhood program for children 18 months to 3 years of age. It is primarily for children who are just beginning to stretch beyond their families into a social world with other children and nurturing adults. It offers parents the opportunity to have a few hours of free time while knowing their young child is engaged in a variety of enriching experiences. The program features creative art activities, story time, free play, music and movement and gross motor activities. Teachers will assist children with learning to share and take turns with others. They will also be involved with children’s play to help facilitate learning. The program is designed to provide a loving and safe environment where children can explore and learn about their world.

Children’s Morning Out Daily Activities

Children will need for each program day:

Filled sippy cup

Easy to eat snack

Full change of clothes

If not toilet trained:

Diapers

Wipes

Changing pad

All items should be labeled with the child’s first and last name.
